Birthday Parties

The Blue Lagoon offers a number of birthday packages.  All of them are self catering, and you get to use the pool and the coffee shop.

Basic Pool Rental

You can rent the pool from us for your party for a ‘no frills’ option.  You can only book 14 days ahead, so be sure to diary it before the big day.

How many people

In the pool, you can have a maximum of 10 Children plus a between 2 and 10 Adults with them in the water.  You may also have up to 4 Spectators poolside.

After the swim

I’m afraid you can’t bring your own food or drinks for a party at the centre, so you will need to organise transporting the guests to another venue once the swim is done.

Cost

The cost of this is our standard pool rental prices - £35 per half hour.

Small Party

Our small party half an hour in one of our pools, followed by an hour party in the coffee shop.

How many people

In the pool, you can have a maximum of 10 Children plus a between 2 and 10 Adults with them in the water.  You may also have up to 4 Spectators poolside.

For the after party, you can have up to 14 Seated people (Including those sat in high chairs).  Any further people are £10 extra each.

After party

You get reserved tables and chairs in the coffee shop for a total of 2 hours.  This is half an hour setup (at the same time as the swim), one hour party, and half an hour tidy up.  You provide the food, drinks, plates, cups and cutlery.

The cost of this party is £150.

Longer Party

This party gives you an entire hour in the pool.  Everything else is the same as the small party.

The cost of this party is £185.

Double Pool Party

This party lets you rent both pools at once for half an hour.

The cost of this party is £220.

XL Pool Party

This party lets you rent both pools at once for a whole hour.  Everything else is the same as the Double Pool Party.

The cost of this party is £255.

What is the Ratio of Adults to Children?

This depends if the children can swim 10 meters unaided by floats.

Note that adults must be in the water to count in this ratio.

Other details, Terms & Conditions…

  1. You must tidy up, and take home your own rubbish.  This includes waste food, disposable plates and cups, wrapping paper, etc.
  2. Responsible adults must have received the pool safety briefing and must pass that onto all guests.  This must be policed by the responsible adults.
  3. Any unruly behaviour which affects safety or the comfort of other users of the centre can result in the party ending early with no refund.
  4. People should not go through to the changing rooms until 10 minutes before their swim.
  5. Swimmers must not enter the pool room until the precise time of the booking, and must exit promptly at the end time.
  6. Please note that for health and safety reasons, we cannot light any candles for you.  You must not use ‘self relighting’ candles.

Hints and Tips

To help your party go smoothly, here are our recommendations!

It’s best if one or two people stay out of the water to organise the after party.  This way people can enjoy it immediately after they are changed.

Send your invites early.  Send both paper and digital ones for best results.  Why not create an event on facebook and tag the Blue Lagoon Centre?

Remember that a pool is potentially a dangerous environment.  Nothing ruins a party like an accident, so ensure your responsible adults have a plan to calm down any children that are getting a bit carried away.

  1. Balloons filled with Helium with ribbons attached
  2. Some fancy tablecloths with your favorite theme
